Applications Engineer

SYSTEMATIX Inc. manufactures high quality, factory automation systems for diverse industries. Our machines are used for assembly, inspection, testing and other processes. Currently, we are looking to add an Applications Analyst to our multi-disciplined team.

Position Summary

Working closely with the sales team you will be responsible for developing concepts and quotations for automation solutions to meet customer needs. This requires the creation of supporting documentation such as CAD drawings, cost estimates and operational details. Also, this person is required to research new products and suppliers and be available to other departments as an internal resource.

Key Responsibilities

Create automation concepts to meet customer requirements in accordance with company standards
Create supporting CAD drawings and operational descriptions in support of the automation concepts developed
Develop cost estimates for the concepts developed
Interface with customers to collect technical details and obtain technical clarifications
Communicate concept details to Sales staff, Management, Customer and Project personnel
Research new products and suppliers and be available to other departments as an internal resource

Qualifications

University or college degree in engineering with 2 – 3 years automation experience is required.
Sound technical knowledge over a broad range of technology and applications
Some knowledge of control systems and software
Proficiency using CAD to create conceptual layout drawings
Meticulous attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language
