Controls Integrator
Description:
SYSTEMATIX Inc. manufactures high quality, factory automation systems for diverse industries. Our machines are used for assembly, inspection, testing and other processes. Currently, we are looking to add a Controls Integrator to our multi-disciplined team.
Position Summary
Designs, programs, commissions, installs and services automated machinery in accordance with customer requirements, and external (CSA, ESA, OSHA, etc.) and company standards and policies. The following technologies are utilized: PLC’s, HMI’s, vision systems, robots, servo systems, industrial networks, databases and PC based software. Machine operations are validated in conjunction with assemblers and electricians.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with Engineering in order to fully understand the sequence of operations
- Validate machinery operations in conjunction with assemblers and electricians
- Assist in design control systems in accordance with customer requirements and company standards
- Program control systems in accordance with customer requirements, company standards and project specific designs
- Commission, install and service machinery at the customer site
- May provide technical training to customer operations and maintenance staff
- Maintain red-lined electrical drawings as changes are made during wiring and debugging
Qualifications
- College or University degree in engineering or related discipline
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years progressive experience designing or implementing software and control systems in conjunction with automated machinery after graduation
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and internal team members
- Must be available for travel within and out-of-country
- Must have a valid driver’s license
