An aluminum casting organization was looking to install  an automated assembly system to add value-added components to an engine cover for their customer. SYSTEMATIX expertise helped the customer win their customer’s confidence by designing a system that met manufacturing and business strategy objectives. The product had the following product assembly requirements:

  • Two aluminum casting products
  • Dowel pin, baffle plate, perimeter gasket insertion
  • Perimeter bolts insertion
  • Laser marking
  • Throughput is one pair every 23 seconds

  • Shallow or missing thread inspection
  • Dowel placement using load cell and LVDT
  • High pressure oil cavity leak tester
