3rd Annual Paper Airplane Contest
THE RETURN OF PAPER AEROSPACE!
A return to the 3rd Annual Paper Airplane contest after a two-year hiatus. A break from the workday and time for team building. The welcome return to the 3rd Annual Paper Airplane Contest was a success.
Prizes awarded for the longest throw from the balcony, best design, and open class build.
Everyone had a chance to build their planes (30 mins), and then in waves, went up to the 2nd-floor balcony to try their luck.
Sarah's 'Conrad' design (above) with its sharp looking detailed look was inspired by Octavio's impeccable fashion sense.
New for 2022; the introduction of an Open Category: Builders choice of materials, plane must weigh less than 4 ounces, be mainly made of paper, have no steering capabilities.
The new open class this year brought us a real David (Tim) vs Goliath (Admir) battle.
Tim won with the small but detailed 'Tigershark' design. If there was a trophy for folding paper, it truly would be on Tim's mantle this year.
Thanks to the Social Committee and everyone for making the contest a soaring success! We've officially marked the Mike's 67 foot record on the side of the lunchroom. Who will beat the distance next year?
Check out the video action from 2019 and keep an eye out for video from this year to be released soon!!!
